Fun Family Time

Meet my cousins! Judy and I are second cousins--her Mom and my Nana were sisters. Judy's daughter was in town recently, so they decided to do a 4 generation photo with Judy's daughter, granddaughter and great-granddaughter: can you believe how young those girls look!!! They all look fabulous. :) We had fun snapping some family photos, and even included the cute boys. I love how they look like trouble in their photo, but they were all as sweet as can be. Enjoy your sneak peek Judy and Family!

Fall 2011

Thank you Fall for allowing us to enjoy every last bit of your goodness before the snow flies. From your gorgeous colors to the beautiful weather that is allowing us to fly for what seems like forever in a "rocket ship" swing, we are not taking you for granted.

Remember When

Remember these babies? Flash cubes. I can remember as a child having them around the house, watching my parents use them and then being able to use them when I took pictures with their camera. I mostly took pictures of my stuffed animals, my dog Fred and my cat Henry and my room. I love how each side was one flash. These are ones that my Dad kept around..new, never used, in their original package. The price tag says $1.57, Mapleview Pharmacy, which was next door to my Dad's barbershop. Seeing these made me think about how much photography has changed. Back then, you had 4 flashes to get the picture right. Pictures are better quality nowadays, but were they better quantity back then, knowing you couldn't waste film or a flash? Interesting to think about...

Rain bells

This picture is a close up of rain bells that I have in my yard. They are these little bowls that are arranged together on moveable wires so that when it rains, they knock into each other making beautiful bell sounds. They sound lovely but without any rain lately, the only time they make noise is when I trip over them moving about in my garden.
