Family Fun

Meet Carly, Kelly and their two ADORABLE girls. We had a lot of fun snapping pictures a few weeks ago when the sun finally came out! Carly is one of the funniest people I know and she and her family couldn't take a bad picture if they tried. :)  Enjoy their sneak peek!

Favorite Flower EVER

Peonies are my favorite flower....always have been, always will be. They are so beautiful and their fragrance is out of this world. I have peony bushes in my yard that were in my dad's yard when he was a kid. I think that's why I love them so much: they are timeless. Enjoy.

Izzy the Beautiful

Meet my friends Izzy and her Mom, Jenny. Jenny and I have been friends for a while and got to spend a fun morning last weekend catching up and playing with Izzy. Isabel is one of those babies who seem to just get you. She is so beautiful (takes after her Mom!) and has very soulful, wise eyes. And I am in love with her hair! Enjoy a sneak peak of her photo shoot!

Bad Backs and Popsicles

My dog Frank is a very, very energetic yorkie. He is 8 years old and sometimes still acts like a puppy. He's a cat and squirrel chaser and really, really does not like the UPS man. He's all over the place. Until his back goes out. Then he can hardly move and it's pretty sad to watch. Luckily, he has pain medicine that we can give him to get him through it. His back went out yesterday when we were playing outside and I felt bad for him, so I brought him out and laid him in the grass, where he stayed. He also missed out on the popsicle party, but his cousin Pip had an extra one for him. The good news is that Frank is back to his old self today and has been barking and running around like a fool!

Reflections of....

When the sun came out on Sunday afternoon, I rushed out to my backyard with my camera. Everything was bathed in such beautiful light. This is one of my favorite pieces in my yard and I had fun taking pictures of my disco gazing globe with my macro lens. I especially love how the close ups turned out...check out the sky and the trees reflected in the pieces. Fun and colorful!

Baby, It's Cold Outside

We took a little trip to the zoo yesterday afternoon in sub zero temperatures. At least, it felt like it was sub zero. :) We, along with a thousand school kids were forced to do several indoor exhibits. Gina came up with the brilliant idea of taking the girls to the Imax movie, Born to be Wild. This was the girls' first movie experience (well, Lucy did go see Over the Hedge in the theater when she was an infant...Gina and I needed a child to get in b/c it was us who really wanted to see the movie..and it was a pretty funny movie!). ANYHOW, the girls loved it, chowed on popcorn and narrated the movie along with Morgan Freeman (to the dismay of those around us): look, baby elephants, I wonder if my classmate thought this part was funny, I smell licorice! All in all, a chilly, crowd-filled but fun day!

P.S. I know post a lot of pics of my nieces here. Maybe I should have called this The Lucy and Sophie Blog. Well, a) they are adorable and b) I'm their aunt, it's my duty to photograph their entire lives. (or at least I tell myself it is, ha!)....no worries though. I have a few photo sessions lined up, so new faces will be appearing in the next month. If you are interested in setting up a photo session, contact me at dinaturcophotography@hotmail.com for details!

F I N A L L Y

Spring has sprung. It could be a smidge warmer, but at least the sun is shining and there is color everywhere. YAY! I couldn't pick just one or two pictures of the beautiful flowering trees and lilac bush that I photographed this weekend, so here is a whole bunch. Happy May Day!
